No Update Again
There is another notable situation with ranking updates in SerpWatch.
The project in question contains 16 keywords. SerpWatch shows the status “Checking” for all 16 keywords.
The next check is shown as scheduled for September 22, 2026 at 05:26.

The same applies to another project, where the next check is shown as scheduled for 04:10. The keywords in that project are also still showing “Checking”.
At the time of checking, it is already after 09:00. The displayed check times are therefore several hours in the past. Nevertheless, the keywords are still shown as “Checking”, and no new ranking results are available.
This raises a simple question:
When was this check actually performed?
The interface does not provide an answer at the time of observation.
I am therefore documenting this as a snapshot for now. There is no basis here to draw conclusions about the technical cause, and I will not speculate about it.
What matters is the actual update
For a ranking tracker, what matters to me is that a displayed check is actually carried out and that a current, traceable result is available afterwards.
A certain delay within a scheduled update cycle is not a problem. In this case, however, this is no longer a matter of a delay of a few hours.
Even on September 23, 2026, one day later, all 16 keywords are still showing “Checking”. The next check is still shown as September 22, 2026 at 05:26. In the second project, September 22, 2026 at 04:10 is still displayed.
There is therefore still no indication that a new SERP check has been carried out in either case, even on the following day.
The interface continues to show various status and usage information. What matters to me, however, is whether new SERP data are actually being collected. In these cases, that cannot be established.
I will spare myself another screenshot at this point. I think the screenshots already documented make it sufficiently clear that I am not making these observations up. I do not need to photograph an unchanged “Checking” status again the following day.
Further Investigation
The observation described here is not the end of the investigation.
In a separate research article, I will take a closer look at the ranking history of the affected projects over a longer period and compare it with the results from the SERP Checker.
